It happened in the British highlands. This dog was thousands of miles from everywhere. Finally, it could come home after use of ingenuity of drone operators

Millie, a Jack Russell-whippet cross, went missing in Havant, Hampshire, in southern England. After slipping out of her leash, she ended up stranded on mudflats that are unsafe due to rising tides. Rescue attempts on foot and by kayak failed, as she kept getting scared and moving farther away.
As a last resort, a drone operator from a group called Denmead Drone Search and Rescue came up with the idea to attach cooked sausages (specifically, Millie’s favorite—sausages) to a drone and fly it out over the marshland. The smell successfully lured her to safer ground, where she was eventually caught and reunited with her owners.
It was a real example of community teamwork and creative problem-solving—and yes, the story got a lot of attention, even making international headlines.
